Several commonly used structures in the two-color mold injection molding industry
Publish: 2026-04-08 16:50:58 View: 141Different products will utilize distinct structures, which can enhance production quality. Let's explore several commonly used structures in the two-color mold injection industry:
1. Medium plate mold structure
Generally speaking, the two movable mold parts of a two-color injection mold are completely identical. However, due to the process structure of the product's two-color injection mold, two different movable molds are required, and a side core-pulling mechanism is not necessary. Therefore, a mid-plate mold structure is needed to solve this problem. The working principle of the mid-plate mold is as follows: During the injection molding process, the two pairs of movable molds do not rotate. After the injection molding machine completes the first injection, the fixed movable mold is opened, the middle plate is first ejected, then rotated 180 degrees, and finally the mold is closed for the second injection. In this way, the main and secondary inserts of the middle plate can be made into different shapes, thus achieving the intended design purpose.
II. Seesaw structure
The seesaw structure is a design in which two sides move upwards while the other side moves downwards around a central axis, repeating the aforementioned steps. This structure is primarily utilized in the design of keyboard molds featuring numbers and letters. It encompasses enclosed numbers or letters, such as 0, 4, 6, 8, A, B, D, O, etc. Only by employing the seesaw structure can secondary materials smoothly flow into enclosed areas, resulting in an aesthetically pleasing appearance. The operational principle of the seesaw structure is as follows: After the initial injection molding, the mold is opened, and the pin is lowered under the influence of the push rod, causing the seesaw to rotate around its axis. The pin top plate is then pushed upwards by the seesaw, allowing the pin to move upwards and create a hole at the boundary of the enclosed area of the primary product. Subsequently, during the closing process of the secondary injection mold, the crusher moves downwards under the influence of the crusher return pin to form a round hole, enabling secondary materials to penetrate into the enclosed area from the crusher
